CARPET YOU BET

After over four years (September 2, 2012 to be exact) of ripping up the old carpet and the old sub floor, after rug hopping to get around our bedroom, after screwing in the existing plywood to remove the creaks and squeaks, after installing the baseboard and touching up the screw holes, after vacuuming all of the crud from trimming the rest of the old sub floor, we finally have carpet installed in the spare room (aka Office) and our bedroom.
Our initial plan was to install tongue and groove rough cut ponderosa pine planks throughout the house as we did in our den. After visiting my wife's brother and wife in Dallas, OR, in August, we opted for the carpet since their house has carpet in the bedrooms and wood flooring throughout their home.

No more rug hopping, no more splinters in our feet, no more scorpions lurking in the corners (they don't like carpet, but they do like popcorn ceilings which we DON'T have), and no more musty smell from the dust and debris.

It sure did feel good walking barefoot!

We are happy! We done did good!

We can officially check off "complete" the two projects for the house: the Office and our bedroom...

The bathroom, kitchen, and living room will be next...
