This morning, I left Salinas for the last time to commute to work. I will NOT miss that drive!
My wife will be home on Thursday, September 26, 2013...

Santa Cruz (Go Slugs!)

Castroville (artichoke capital of the world)
Gilroy (garlic capital of the world)
Moss Landing
Marina (they got REI!)
San Juan Bautista (right on the San Andreas Fault)
Prunedale
We shall miss the eating establishments:
Ground Up Burgers (Half Moon Bay)
The Wild Plum Cafe
Toro Place Cafe (Salinas)
Phil's Fish Market (Moss Landing)*
Monterey Coast Brewing Company (downtown Salinas)
*Bring an appetite to Phil's Fish Market and then stroll along the beach. My wife loved the Cioppino in a Bowl.
Also, we will miss the farmers' markets throughout the valley. Organic foods at its best!
