OH FISH ALL OF US

We got our fishing licenses on January 3, 2015. In the past, we would purchase our licenses in mid-year. We are going to get our money's worth in 2015.

We went fishing at Bass Lake around 10 a.m. with our friends GaRy and JaNell. It was a little chilly at the dam, but the waters were calm with an occasional breeze.

None of us had a nibble so we decided to go to the Point at Miller's Landing. It was breezy and chilly and the waters were rough. We decided to take our bobbers off and cast out into the deep channel.

Within 10 minutes, my wife reeled in the first of two trout. It was her very first catch at Bass Lake. The "curse" is broken.

My wife caught two of these beautiful rainbow trout. Together they weighed a little over two pounds. One measured 14 inches and the other measured 15 inches.

Yes, they were good eating! Nothing like fresh caught trout!
