SOY

For the first time today, I had soy milk for breakfast. Just a glass.

I thought today was THE day to give it a try since my wife eats cereal with soy milk. I am one of those who are somewhat "lactose intolerant." I can still drink milk, but it is the...uh...byproduct...you know what I mean.

I poured the soy milk into an 8-ounce glass and took a gulp.

Not bad!

And this comes from a guy who has drunk milk from "happy" cows all of his life.

I reached up into the cupboards and pulled down the large bottle of Myo Lean Chocolate Chunk that we got for free from the guys we bought our gym equipment from when they brought us our leg press machine last year. I am not big advocate in protein supplements, but it was free and might as well enjoy.

I scooped a couple of heaping teaspoonfuls, stirred it up and took another gulp.

Tasted just like Odwalla's Chocolate Protein Monster.

My wife is very proud of me! Now, we have to buy more soy milk.

JACK GETS JACKED

One of our favorite radio stations we listen to on our daily commute, KFJK 105.9 Jack FM, changed its call sign letters to KMJ and changed its format at 5:00 a.m. this morning to

TALK RADIO!

WTF! ARGGH!!

Hey, at least it didn't revert to Spanish. We got enough of those stations in the San Joaquin valley. No habla.

So now there is KMJ Now 105.9 FM and KMJ 580 AM.

Upon further review, at least they will play songs from the 60's and 70's on the weekends.

Small consolation.

Oh well. Life goes on. Just have to find another good station for the car stereo.

Satellite radio? Forget it!

I remember the day my heart sank when KNAC 105.5, the hardrocking radio station in Southern California, went "Espanol" at 2:00 p.m. February 15, 1995. The final song they played was Metallica's "Fade to Black." How appropriate.
